What does “lifetime licence” mean?

Your Barcode Next licence does not expire after a billing period. Future Barcode Next software updates and future major versions made available for the same supported platform/store licence are included without an additional Barcode Next upgrade fee.

The licence does not guarantee perpetual support for every future operating-system version or permanent availability of third-party app stores.

Are future updates included?

Yes. Future Barcode Next updates and future major versions made available for the same supported platform/store licence are included.

Do I need to buy macOS and Windows separately?

Yes. The Mac App Store and Microsoft Store versions are licensed separately.

A Mac App Store purchase does not create a Microsoft Store licence, and a Microsoft Store purchase does not create a Mac App Store licence.

Can I use Barcode Next commercially?

Yes. Barcode Next may be used for personal, professional and commercial work, subject to the applicable licence terms and any third-party rules that apply to the barcode data or identifiers you use.

Can I use exported barcodes in client work?

Yes. Barcode artwork created with Barcode Next may be used in client, commercial, packaging, label, document and other lawful production work.

How are purchases handled?

Purchases are processed through the Mac App Store or Microsoft Store, depending on the platform.

How do refunds work?

Refund requests are handled through the store where the purchase was made and are subject to that store's processes and applicable consumer law.

Does Barcode Next assign GTINs, ISBNs or official barcode numbers?

No. Barcode Next generates barcode symbols from the data you provide.

Official identifiers such as GTINs, ISBNs or other assigned numbers must be obtained through the relevant issuing or standards organization where required.

Does Barcode Next guarantee that every barcode will scan?

No software can guarantee scan performance in every real-world environment.

Barcode readability depends on factors such as physical size, printer quality, scaling, contrast, substrate, quiet zones, scanner type and the final production process. Critical output should be tested and verified before production.

QR Codes

Does Barcode Next support QR Code?

Yes. Barcode Next supports standard QR Code, Micro QR, Rectangular Micro QR (rMQR) and GS1 QR Code.

Can I customize QR Codes?

Yes. Barcode Next includes dedicated QR styling controls for module shapes, finder appearance, foreground and background colors, logo placement and related settings.

Can I add a logo to a QR Code?

Yes. Logo placement and size can be controlled in the QR customization workflow.

Can I change the QR Code finder patterns?

Yes. Finder styling is separate from normal module styling, including outer and inner finder treatment where supported.

Can I change the shape of the QR Code modules?

Yes. Barcode Next provides supported QR module-shape options that can be previewed directly on the full QR Code.

Can I use custom QR colors?

Yes. Foreground and background colors can be customized.

Strong contrast should be maintained, and the final result should be tested in the actual print or display environment where it will be used.

Does Barcode Next create dynamic QR Codes?

No. Barcode Next creates QR Code symbols from the data you provide. It does not provide hosted redirects, editable destination URLs, scan tracking or QR analytics.

Does adding a logo guarantee the QR Code will still scan?

No. A logo covers part of the encoded symbol and reduces available decoding margin.

Error correction can help, but the final QR Code should always be tested with representative devices and in its real use environment.

Batch & data

Can I generate multiple barcodes at once?

Yes. Barcode Next supports multi-record and batch workflows so one barcode configuration can be applied across a complete dataset.

Can I import CSV data?

Yes. Barcode Next supports CSV-oriented multi-record workflows for batch generation.

Can I generate barcodes from Excel?

Yes. Export the relevant Excel worksheet or data as CSV, then import the records into Barcode Next for batch generation.

Can I preview one record from a batch?

Yes. Individual records can be selected and previewed before the complete batch is exported or printed.

Does Barcode Next validate each record?

Barcode Next applies the validation rules relevant to the selected barcode type so malformed records can be identified before final output.

Can I export every record as a separate file?

Yes. Batch export is designed to generate multiple output files from the selected records using shared export settings.

Can I batch-generate QR Codes?

Yes. Multiple QR payloads can share the same sizing, styling, logo and export settings while retaining separate data for each record.

Can I apply one style to all records?

Yes. Shared appearance and output settings can be used across the selected records in a batch workflow.

Export & print

Which export formats does Barcode Next support?

Barcode Next supports vector and raster output including SVG, PDF, EPS, PNG, JPEG and TIFF.

Can Barcode Next export SVG?

Yes.

Can Barcode Next export EPS?

Yes.

Can Barcode Next export PDF?

Yes.

Does Barcode Next support high-resolution raster output?

Yes. Raster workflows include controlled output dimensions and resolution settings where applicable.

Yes. Barcode Next supports CMYK-oriented output workflows where applicable, alongside RGB output for screen and digital use.

Does Barcode Next support transparent backgrounds?

Yes, where supported by the selected output format and workflow.

Can I control the exact output size?

Yes. Barcode Next provides output-dimension controls and barcode-specific sizing options.

Is vector output better for print?

Vector artwork is often preferable when the barcode must remain resolution-independent inside packaging, labels or design layouts.

Raster output can still be appropriate when a downstream system expects a fixed pixel image.

Does Barcode Next guarantee print compliance?

No. Barcode Next provides barcode-specific generation, validation and output controls, but final production can still be affected by scaling, color conversion, print process, substrate, printer quality and other physical variables.

Critical output should be verified after final production.

Label printing

Can Barcode Next print barcode label sheets?

Yes. Barcode Next includes a label-sheet workflow for arranging supported barcodes using preset or custom page settings.

Can I create a custom label-sheet layout?

Yes. Where the relevant controls are available, you can define page and label geometry including rows, columns, margins and spacing.

Can I print different barcode values on the same sheet?

Yes. Multi-record data can be used to place different barcode values across one label sheet.

Can I print QR Code labels?

Yes. QR Codes can use the same label-sheet workflow, including multiple records and customized QR appearance where applicable.

Do I need a special barcode printer?

Not necessarily. The appropriate printer depends on the label stock, physical barcode size and production workflow.

Barcode Next focuses on generating the barcode and page layout; printing uses the normal operating-system and printer workflow.

Does Barcode Next work with every label printer?

Printer compatibility depends on the operating system, printer driver, page size and physical label stock being used.

Barcode Next does not claim direct hardware integration with every label printer.

How do I avoid label alignment problems?

Use the correct page and label dimensions, verify margins and spacing, avoid unintended print scaling, and test the first printed sheet before running a larger batch.

Privacy

Does Barcode Next collect my barcode data?

No. Barcode values, QR payloads, imported datasets, presets and generated files are processed locally and are not uploaded to a Barcode Next backend.

Does Barcode Next have analytics or telemetry?

No. Barcode Next does not include analytics, telemetry or crash-reporting SDKs.

Does Barcode Next use advertising or tracking SDKs?

No.

Does Barcode Next require an account?

No.

Where are my presets and working data stored?

They are stored locally on your device.

What happens if I save an exported file to iCloud, OneDrive or another synchronized folder?

The file may then be processed or stored by that third-party service according to its own settings and privacy policy.

Barcode Next does not control storage locations you choose outside the application.

Where can I read the full Privacy Policy?

Support

What should I do if a barcode does not scan?

Check the barcode data, final physical size, quiet zone, contrast, print scaling and output quality.

For styled QR Codes, also check logo size, module styling and error-correction settings.

If the barcode still does not scan, compare the output with the requirements of the relevant barcode specification or workflow.

What should I do if Barcode Next says the data is invalid?

Check the data rules for the selected barcode type. Different formats have different requirements for length, character set, check digits and structured data.
