What is Rectangular Micro QR (rMQR)?
rMQR, or Rectangular Micro QR Code, extends the QR family with rectangular symbol sizes designed for narrow or elongated spaces.
This makes it useful in layouts where a square QR symbol would waste area or simply not fit the available shape.
Data and validation
rMQR defines multiple rectangular symbol sizes with different capacities. The payload and error-correction requirement determine which sizes are valid.
Barcode Next should automatically select a suitable size by default while still allowing advanced users to choose a specific symbol size when needed.
Structure, size and quiet zones
Unlike standard QR Code, rMQR is intentionally rectangular. Its finder and timing structures are optimized for this geometry.
