What is Micro QR?

Micro QR is a smaller member of the QR Code family intended for applications with limited data and limited physical space.

It uses a single finder pattern instead of the three large finder patterns used by standard QR Code, reducing overhead and allowing smaller symbols.

Micro QR has several symbol sizes with different capacities and error-correction options. Not every payload fits every Micro QR version.

Barcode Next should choose a valid symbol size automatically or clearly indicate when a manually selected size cannot contain the data.

The symbol uses one finder pattern and compact timing/data regions. The final number of modules depends on the selected Micro QR version.
