What is Aztec?

Aztec Code is a two-dimensional matrix barcode recognized by its central bullseye finder pattern. It is used in workflows such as transport ticketing, documents and other applications where compact symbols and robust decoding are useful.

Unlike QR Code, Aztec does not rely on large corner finder squares, allowing the symbol to use its area efficiently.

Data and validation

Aztec supports text and binary-oriented payloads with error correction. Symbol size grows according to the payload and selected error-correction requirements.

Barcode Next should automatically choose an appropriate symbol size unless the user explicitly needs manual control.

Structure, size and quiet zones

The central finder pattern is surrounded by data layers. Compact and full-range variants use different structural layouts depending on the required capacity.

Barcode Next support

Generate Aztec symbols individually or in bulk, control size, colors and rotation, and export clean vector or raster output.

BARCODE NEXT

Create Aztec with clear production controls.
